Wedding Snapshots
Heck! It’s not every day you get married or hire a wedding photographer, so heres a snapshot breakdown in the life of what I, as your wedding photographer can capture. You may not be after a full day, so you can use this as a guide to what parts are important to you to have captured.
Documentary Bridal & Groom Prep
I usually spend 2 hours capturing the morning's preparations. It’s the perfect time for me to get to know your wedding squads while documenting the quiet nerves and loud laughter of the buildup.
The Ceremony: Unscripted Moments
Whether it’s a church service or a civil ceremony, I arrive 30 minutes early to capture your guests arriving. During the vows, I’m a ‘ninja’—capturing the tears and smiles without ever being a distraction.
The Confetti Exit (Go Big!)
One of my favorite moments to capture. My top tip? Buy twice as much as you think you need! It creates that iconic, high-energy ‘just married’ shot that looks incredible in print.
Relaxed Family & Group Portraits
I suggest 20–30 minutes for formal photos. We’ll keep it efficient (usually 6–8 key groups) so you can get back to your guests and the champagne celebrations.
Authentic Guest Candids (The Reception)
While you mingle, I hunt for the real story: the belly laughs, the hugs, and the kids being kids. This is where the ‘documentary’ magic really happens.
Quick & Natural Couple Portraits
No awkward posing here. I only need 10–15 minutes to grab some epic shots of just the two of you. We’ll chase the best light (especially that Sussex golden hour!) and get you back to the party in no time.
Speeches & The Wedding Breakfast
I don’t photograph people while they’re eating (no one wants that!), but I’m there for every punchline and emotional toast during the speeches.
Cake Cutting & The First Dance
A quick, fun moment before the dance floor opens. If you’re not a ‘ballroom’ couple, don’t worry—I capture the vibe and then help you holler for everyone else to join in!
After-Party & Dance Floor Antics
I hang around on a full day wedding for around 30 minutes after the first dance to grab lots of drunken (hopefully) dance floor antics.
